Villa Miza
3rd semester | 2006 | Brno Ivanovice

Villa reacts to several aspects relating to the building place. Partly it is a long and narrow shape of the site, orientation to the sun and local roads but also the city and nature relation. Villa is imaginary connecting element. One part of the long house is ogiented to the city. Second part is oriented to the forest offering soothing view of nature. Villa simply pulls you out from the city and serves you natural relax.
Form
From the form and shape point of view villa consists of two long curved volumes in different levels. They are interconected one to another. The volumes are from different materials. It reflects their different functions. Lower part is sort of podestal therefor I used concrete which looks haevy and static. For the upper level I used copper plates which looks more light. Copper change its colour over time so the house will look more natural.
Functions
Ground floor. Garage for two familly cars, atelier with bathroom, sauna and hall with staircase to the first floor open space with kitchen, dining room and living room. Into the sleeping silence area you go through the coridor with inbuilt wardrobe cases.
Construction
Main constructional element of the ground floor volume is concrete. The first floor volume is a frame from rolled steel elements. Steel frame is covered with copper plates.
